Human Error

"All human error or wrongdoing is involuntary for man can only choose what he believes at the time to be a good that will bring happiness. His only error is that he cannot discern the real good from the illusory good."  Socrates ...in truth,  OdiliaCarmen

Healing Spice Tea

"In a large pot, bring 2.8 litres (3 quarts) of water to a boil. Then add: 20 whole cloves 20 whole green cardamom pods (optional: gently crush them under a rolling pin or with a mortar and pestle to open them up) 20 whole black peppercorns 5 sticks of cinnamon Optional: a few slices of fresh ginger Continue boiling for 15-20 minutes, and then add: ¼ tsp of a mild black tea (Golden Assam is recommended) After another minute or two, add ½ pint of milk per pint of remaining liquid. The original recipe calls for cow’s milk but any type of milk is fine – cow, goat, almond, soy, hemp, etc. There is no need to measure the milk, just eyeball it. Optional: add honey or other sweetener to taste. Each of the ingredients in Yogi Tea has healing properties. The black pepper is a blood purifier and aids in digestion. Cardamom is good for the colon and can help relieve depression. Cloves strengthen the immune and nervous systems. Cinnamon is antibacterial, loaded with antioxidants and is good

7 Pillars To Veracious Singing

Music is for each and every being. Music is within and without us all. Everyone can sing and everyone has his own unique voice. Incomparable that is. Don`t be a copy! There is no such thing as too soon or too late to start singing. Have courage and fulfil your dreams! Make sure, in the process, they are your own not someones else`s. You can sing whatever style/songs as long as it is truly what you want and love. Singing what is in fashion, for the market or for whatever other reasons is not a true expression of yourself, will not bring you happiness and is neither genuine art.  Singing brings peace, joy and relaxation. Whatever brings the opposites is not singing. Singing is ultimately a connection with your own soul and the source of existence. When you`ll be ready, everything else will be ready for you. Thus, do not struggle for perfection, become ready... to embrace it, on the way! ...in truth,  OdiliaCarmen

Awakening Through The Unawakened

"- Unfortunately we are not yet at that level. It takes hard work to get there. And what would be the purpose of everything if not to help? Plants heal humans. Humans help and take care of the planet. We exchange ideas. We are connected. There is nothing unfortunate. We are heading in the "good" direction exactly because of everything that "seems" unfortunate around us. Because all that "looks" unfortunate makes us aware. Makes us desire to thrive for "another level". - So right about that! And it is not hard work and effort that we need. But this very awareness that happens naturally. An awareness that, if we do not explore by free will, we are forced into by all that we experience. - N ot, for you not. What about those millions that did not even wake up?? Yes. But no matter that! Do not forget! You become, you experience, you create what you pay attention to. Forget what isn`t. Only look upon what can be. What can be will be! Those million

Which Way?

"- Let`s meditate together... And help me to succeed being what I always desired to be. More precisely? - Positive, open to knowledge, immune to pessimism and suffering. And how do you think I could help you? - To start trusting myself and others... to open up to love... and to complete myself before others. To find myself a purpose and stop destroying myself. You can! You always can! How? - It`s enough what you transmit to be able to help a person. Though in my case I need your presence. Expand! - Your presence is all the support that I need. Why? What do you feel different in my presence? - Because I feel you.. I feel you within me, I feel what you transmit... I feel stillness. I think stillness contains all that I feel. The empty space is your support then. Therefore you do not need my presence but the empty space. You need to

The Fool: Wisdom in Humor

" A philosopher, having made an appointment to dispute with Nasrudin, called and found him away from home. Infuriated, he picked up a piece of chalk and wrote ‘Stupid Oaf’ on Nasrudin’s gate. As soon as he got home and saw this, the Mulla rushed to the philosopher’s house. ‘I had forgotten’, he said, ‘that you were to call. And I apologise for not having been at home. Of course, I remembered the appointment as soon as I saw that you had left your name on my door.’ " from the book  "The Expliots of the Incomparable Mulla Nasrudin"  by  Idries Shah ...in truth,  OdiliaCarmen

The Food of the Cloak: Lessons in Superficiality

Nasrudin heard that there was a banquet being held in the nearby town, and that everyone was invited. He made his way there as quickly as he could. When the Master of Ceremonies saw him in his ragged cloak, he seated him in the most inconspicuous place, far from the great table where the most important people were being waited on hand and foot. Nasrudin saw that it would be an hour at least before the waiters reached the place where he was sitting. So he got up and went home. He dressed himself in a magnificent sable cloak and turban and returned to the feast. As soon as the heralds of the Emir, his host, saw this splendid sight they started to beat the drum of welcome and sound the trumpets in a manner consonant with a visitor of high rank. The Chamberlain came out of the palace himself, and conducted the magnificent Nasrudin to a place almost next to the Emir. A dish of wonderful food was immediately placed before him. Without a pause, Nasrudin began to rub handfuls of

The Sermon of Nasrudin: A Lesson in Wisdom and Wit

"One day the villagers thought they would play a joke on Nasrudin. As he was supposed to be a holy man of some indefinable sort, they went to him and asked him to preach a sermon in their mosque. He agreed. When the day came, Nasrudin mounted the pulpit and spoke: ‘O people! Do you know what I am going to tell you?’ ‘No, we do not know,’ they cried. ‘Until you know, I cannot say. You are too ignorant to make a start on,’ said the Mulla, overcome with indignation that such ignorant people should waste his time. He descended from the pulpit and went home. Slightly chagrined, a deputation went to his house again, and asked him to preach the following Friday, the day of prayer. Nasrudin started his sermon with the same question as before. This time the congregation answered, as one man: ‘Yes, we know.’ ‘In that case,’ said the Mulla, ‘there is no need for me to detain you longer. You may go.’ And he returned home. Having been prevailed upon to preach for the third Fridayin su

The Basic View Of Taoism

"Although there are many diverse arts flowing from the wellspring of Taoism, all of these different arts are grounded in the same set of principles, what Taoists see as the fundamental laws of Nature applying to all things, high and low. These principles form the core of Taoist "general systems theory." By developing a working knowledge of these natural principles, you will have the master key to open the mysterious portals of the Tao. Wu Ji In the beginning, nothing existed. In Chinese this is called Wu Ji (meaning absolute nothingness). Wu Ji is synonymous with the Buddhist word sunyata, meaning emptiness, the void, pure openness, no boundary. Wu Ji is also sometimes referred to as  the mystery, the nameless, the great mother, the source. Thus Lao Tzu says, "That which can be named is not the eternal name." Words cannot describe Wu Ji; it is beyond any thought, idea or concept, yet it can be directly experienced. Conscious realization of Wu Ji i

Nasrudin and the Wise Men: Challenging Wisdom

"The philosophers, logicians and doctors of law were drawn up at Court to examine Nasrudin. This was a serious case, because he had admitted going from village to village saying: ‘The so-called wise men are ignorant, irresolute and confused.’ He was charged with undermining the security of the State. ‘You may speak first,’ said the King. ‘Have paper and pens brought,’ said the Mulla. Paper and pens were brought. ‘Give some to each of the first seven savants.’ They were distributed. ‘Have them separately write an answer to this question: “What is bread?”’ This was done. The papers were handed to the King, who read them out: The first said: ‘Bread is a food.’ The second: ‘It is flour and water.’ The third: ‘A gift of God.’ The fourth: ‘Baked dough.’ The fifth: ‘Changeable, according to how you mean “bread”.’ The sixth: ‘A nutritious substance.’ The seventh: ‘Nobody really knows.’ ‘When they decide what bread is,’ said Nasrudin, ‘it will be possible for them to decide other thi
